Community Policies

Providing a safe, non-toxic, positive atmosphere for our members.

Social Media/Online Community Policies

This policy pertains to Facebook pages and groups, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Slack and any other page created in the future. These accounts run by Together Digital staff, approved moderators or community managers, or created by Together Digital to be run by city chapters, are the property of Together Digital and may be shut down at any time at the behest of Together Digital.

Together Digital, or Together Digital-approved moderators, reserve the right to delete any posting or discussion judged to be irrelevant, promotional, partisan, inaccurate, inappropriate, illegal, or offensive. Recruiter posts are banned. Together Digital reserves the right to ban any member who we determine violates this policy.

The opinions of individual Together Digital social media participants do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Together Digital. Posts containing links to external websites or references to products, services, or people do not imply endorsement by Together Digital.

Comments regarding this policy may be sent directly via email to [email protected].

Together Digital Slack

This policy applies to the Together Digital Slack and direct messages sent in the Together Digital Slack. Together Digital Slack exists for Together Digital members to have a private, online community in which they feel free and comfortable. Each member uses Slack in their own way – for professional and personal reasons. Thus, every member should be friendly and welcoming, patient, thoughtful, respectful and charitable. Members avoid destructive behavior like derailing topics, offering unconstructive criticism, snarking/unproductive comments, and microaggressions.

Together Digital, or Together Digital-approved moderators/community managers, reserve the right to delete any posting or discussion judged to be irrelevant, promotional, partisan, inaccurate, inappropriate, illegal, or offensive. Together Digital reserves the right to ban any member who we determine violates this policy.

Screenshots: Members are banned from posting screenshots from the Together Digital Slack and sharing into other Slack channels, Slack direct messages or other online communities or social media pages.

File Sharing: Members are welcome to share files using Slack if they have permission from the file’s original owner or creator.

Together Digital Private Board-Run Pages

Together Digital HQ will set up a city chapter Facebook group and/or an Instagram page if the Board desires. It is the Board’s responsibility to moderate and share Together Digital updates on this page but the pages may be shut down at any time for any reason by Together Digital. City Boards must notify Together Digital HQ of any password or account administrator changes as soon as they take place.

City Boards must adhere to Together Digital’s branding and code of conduct policies on the pages they run. The Board must assign one person to be the primary moderator for these social media channels. The primary moderator should follow Together Digital’s Social Media/Online Community Policies at all times.
